The treatment works by targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair with the light from the system, and upon absorption the light is converted into heat. Based on the application of a unique photosensitiser spray and the use of non-invasive Intense Pulsed Light (I2PL), this treatment from Ellipse, visibly reduces the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles by boosting the natural collagen production in the skin by up to 300%. The treatment starts with the application of the Intense Photospray, every 5 minutes for one hour. This spray contains an active ingredient which creates a red pigment in the skin and prepares the skin for the absorption of light.

Acne is caused by the body’s increased production of the hormone androgen (a male hormone that is present in both men and women), which stimulates the sebaceous gland to produce more oil.
